Benin

Benin has many assets for becoming a major centre of activity for CIRAD. It benefits from good institutional stability, dynamic public policies aimed at developing the agricultural sector by strengthening value chains, and a quality National Agricultural Research System (NARS), whose activities are unified by a competitive funding mechanism. Benin’s research institutions also have a long and ongoing history with CIRAD.
