Launching of the new standardization institute for Indonesian agriculture

The representative of CIRAD's office in Indonesia was invited to the inauguration of the new standardization and instrumentation institute for agriculture by the Minister of Agriculture. The inauguration was on 17 December 2022.

A shadow theatre performance (Wayang) symbolizing the ecosystems of the universe was performed during the ceremony.

CIRAD was the only foreign scientific institute present at the official launch.

The opening of this institute shows that Indonesia is now entering a phase of consolidation and standardization of agricultural practices, a phase of digitalization and sustainability.
