Towards the first global foresight on extension and advisory services for agrifood systems of the future: participatory scenario shaping

Side event organized by CIRAD, FAO and the Destree Institute on the occasion of the FAO Science and Innovation Forum.

A global Foresight Framework is being co-designed to fill the gap of knowledge for the mobilisation of Foresight for the transformation of extension and advisory systems (EAS) in view of food systems of the future. The Framework particularly includes global EAS scenarios meant to guide EAS actors to think beyond business-as-usual trends, explore alternatives and integrate global drivers that they would not have considered otherwise into their national strategy. The side-event aims to: present features of the Framework and shape up the global EAS scenarios. It will include presentations, panel discussion and interactions with participants.
