Gestion et ouverture des données de la recherche : panorama et perspectives en Afrique

Science ouverte au Sud, an international symposium co-organized by CIRAD, IRD and the Académie des sciences, des arts et des lettres du Bénin (ANSALB), to be held from 25-27 October in Cotonou, Benin.

Three years after the first "Science ouverte au Sud" symposium, this new edition aims to build an overview of approaches in terms of research data management and release in Africa, particularly in French-speaking Africa, and to share and promote good practice. It will centre on shared feedback and practical workshops on the following topics:

  • Recommendations and requirements of governments, institutions and research donors for open science
  • Data management, sharing and dissemination systems: practices, benefits, obstacles
  • Ethical and legal issues, editorial and economic models.

Aimed at information professionals, representatives of institutions dedicated to the dissemination of scientific information or in charge of research policies who wish to share their experiences, this conference will allow to extend the reflection initiated during the previous conference, and to key, new or emerging points.
