Rubber roadmap summary. The road towards sustainable rubber growing [2024-2034]

Discover the summary of the "Rubber" roadmap, on line and in print. The summary is available in English and French, and sets out CIRAD's objectives for the next decade, to promote a more sustainable rubber value chain, by means of four ambitions:  

• Optimize land and labour productivity and produce quality rubber
• Give family farmers a living wage
• Adapt rubber growing to climate change and other types of environmental change
• Integrate rubber growing into territorial frameworks

A roadmap deciphered by CIRAD rubber research coordinators Laurent Vaysse (agronomist specializing in natural rubber biochemistry and quality) and Dominique Garcia (a researcher specializing in plant breeding and health).
