15th UNESCO Chair in World Food Systems Annual Symposium
Symposium organised with the support of CIRAD, on the topic of emotions and sensitivity in food.
The 53rd Session of the Committee on World Food Security will highlight three major issues: urbanization, food system resilience and the impact of public policy.
The topics to be covered include the adoption of new recommendations on urban food systems, a forum devoted to responsible investment, and a session on protracted crises. The discussions will also look at key topics such as armed conflicts, nutrition, land governance and the transition to a new committee bureau.
CIRAD is organizing two side events at this 53rd Session.
Tuesday 21 October, 13:30-14:45, Sheikh Zayed centre
This side event will launch the State of Land Tenure and Governance (SLTG), which is the principal knowledge product of the Global Land Observatory (GLO), an FAO initiative in partnership with the International Land Coalition (ILC) and CIRAD.
Friday 24 October, 13:30-14;45, Austria room
This side event will showcase initiatives supporting inclusive, sustainable agri-food systems in Africa to boost food security and decent work.
