53rd Session of the Committee on World Food Security

The 53rd Session of the Committee on World Food Security will be held at FAO HQ in Rome. With the participation of CIRAD.

The 53rd Session of the Committee on World Food Security will highlight three major issues: urbanization, food system resilience and the impact of public policy.

The topics to be covered include the adoption of new recommendations on urban food systems, a forum devoted to responsible investment, and a session on protracted crises. The discussions will also look at key topics such as armed conflicts, nutritionland governance and the transition to a new committee bureau.

CIRAD is organizing two side events at this 53rd Session.

Launch of the State of Land Tenure and Governance

This side event will launch the State of Land Tenure and Governance (SLTG), which is the principal knowledge product of the Global Land Observatory (GLO), an FAO initiative in partnership with the International Land Coalition (ILC) and CIRAD.
