International Agroscience for Development Campus

CIRAD's Head Office is located on the International Agroscience for Development Campus. In addition to staff from various CIRAD offices and services, the campus houses various institutions, NGOs and alliances involved in agroscience for sustainable development.

Jardin d’agronomie tropicale de Paris - René Dumont Campus

Since the late 19th century, the campus has played a role in the history of troppical agricultural research and training. It is based in the former colonial test garden, established in 1899. Since 2003, CIRAD and the Paris City Council have jointly managed the site, which covers 6.7 hectares, split between a "campus" area and a park open to the public, the "Jardin d’agronomie tropicale René Dumont". Since 2018, the campus has been home to the members of the "Cité du développement durable", an association for research, training and international cooperation in the field of sustainable development, which associates around 20 organizations.

The site houses a scientific and academic campus in which CIRAD is involved through the CIRED joint research unit, student training operations and educational work. It also has a historical library that maintains and promotes the archival records of agricultural research in tropical and Mediterranean regions.
