The unit attempts to solve the problems arising from pest locusts. Its activities are based on a thorough knowledge of field realities, operational constraints and bio-ecology of acridids. Research, mostly in partnership projects, is intended to develop operational strategies of monitoring and control in the concern of respect of the environment and the durability of the suggested solutions.
