The 2008 annual meeting took place in London at the Linnean society the 29th and 30th May, L. Brancheriau and G. Chaix were present.
The International Academy of Wood Science (IAWS) was founded and given its name in Paris, June 2, 1966. It is a non-profit assembly of wood scientists, recognizing all fields of wood science with their associated technological domains, and securing a worldwide representation. The Linnean society is the world's oldest biological society which remains a leading modern forum for debate and discussion of natural history in all its branches.
