CIRAD has been building national and inter-regional partnerships in central Africa for more than 50 years, and continues to be actively involved in building research and scientific debating capacity. Managing natural resources in dry grassland and forest zones sustainably is a major factor in alleviating poverty and is one of the policy priorities for the region.

A few details

A staff of 36 in the region: 17 researchers and four national administrative staff members in Cameroon, six in Congo, three in Gabon, three in Chad, one in the Central African Republic, one in the Democratic Republic of Congo and one at the French Embassy in Nigeria.
