Collective Action, Policies and Markets

Unit website
Internal Research Unit (UPR) - UPR

How can collective action help to improve agricultural market functioning and to renew public policy in the rural sector?

The unit studies the strategies adopted by players, with three specific objectives: to pinpoint the changes in the rural sector and determine how the various players respond to economic and institutional change; to support improvements in the processes for drawing up and negotiating public policy; and to encourage the establishment of efficient, equitable farmer support services.
