Fous de Palmiers association [France]
Since its foundation in 1989, Fous de Palmiers has provided a link between lovers of palms, allowing them to share their knowledge, experience of the crops concerned, seeds, plants and addresses of suppliers. It encourages people to plant as many palms that can be acclimatized to the conditions in France and the Mediterranean as possible. It fosters and supports initiatives on the part of local authorities wanting to plant palms.
PACSOF = Palm and Cycad Societies of Florida [United States]
The Palm & Cycad Societies of Florida, Inc., was initiated in June, 1998. This organization's goal is to unite the palm and cycad societies in Florida and to provide a statewide network of people interested in the wonderful world of palms and cycads.
IPS = International Palm Society [United States]
"The Palm Society" was founded in 1956 by a small group of palm enthusiasts and has grown to have thousands of members in 81 countries. The name was changed to the International Palm Society in the early 1980s to reflect the world-wide membership.
