CIRAD develops training courses in scientific writing and publication and dissemination of scientific information for information professionals and scientists in southern countries. It also supports international initiatives through its involvement in sectorial networks.
CIRAD supports documentation centres in southern countries through its research platforms in partnership.
CIRAD plans and runs training courses for scientific information professionals, tailored to the requirements of organizations in the South. Each module associates skills transfers and the dissemination of knowledge generated by more global initiatives.
As part of the global e-learning initiative IMARK (Information Management Resource Kit) headed by the FAO, CIRAD is involved in either developing or producing French versions of information management training modules.

CoopIST, Cooperating on scientific and technical information is a CIRAD website that includes resources and advice for researchers and scientific information professionals in southern countries on publication and information management.

is a global initiative launched in 2008 to make information on public agricultural research widely available.
