CIRAD and the AFD will have a joint stand at the Paris International Agricultural Show from 25 February to 5 March at the Porte de Versailles exhibition centre.
The stand is a place for meetings, debate and exchanges, and will be highlighting the sustainable development goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations with a view to eradicating poverty, protecting the planet and guaranteeing prosperity for all by 2030. The aims are to publicize the key role of agriculture as a tool for sustainable development, and to broaden the debate on development and global solidarity.
A half-day conference entitled "Des territoires ruraux vivants pour transformer le monde " (Living territories can change the world) will be stressing the importance of rural territories for sustainable development.
Lastly, a number of activities and tasting sessions are planned every day for the general public.

There will also be a reception area for partners and institutional representatives from across the spectrum who are interested in CIRAD's and the AFD's work to foster agriculture and development in the South.
