2009 Paris Book Fair: CIRAD presents "Bergers du monde"

10/03/2009 - Press release

Editions Quae, the publications service for four research organizations: CEMAGREF, CIRAD, IFREMER and INRA, will again be participating in the Paris Book Fair - 13 to 18 March 2009 (Porte de Versailles, Parc des expositions, Stand Y 025).

In 2009, for its 29th edition, the Paris Book Fair has chosen to honour Mexico, and will be taking its visitors on a virtual trip, through events, conferences and book signings.
On its stand (Y 025), Editions Quae will be exhibiting books on topics ranging from agronomy to human science, through biology, ecology and veterinary medicine, among others.

It is a book that evokes faraway lands that CIRAD will be presenting on the Quae stand on Sunday 15 March. From 4:30 to 6 pm, Bernard Faye* will be signing his book Bergers du Monde (Publ. Quae, Co-publ. Etudes et Communication 2008).
The book, which contains more than 400 photographs, tells the poetic tale of the people on all four continents who devote their lives to animals and to the land.
