VIDÉO. Interview with Ibrahim Hassane Mayaki, Executive Secretary of NEPAD (New Partnership for Africa's Development) at the signing of a general agreement with CIRAD. A chance for the ex-Prime Minister of Niger to assess the Comprehensive Africa Agricultural Development Programme (CAADP, or PDDAA in French) and to present Rural Futures. This initiative is intended to "revitalize" the CAADP by taking account of issues relating to population growth and youth employment. Rural Futures was partly inspired of the conclusions of the RuralStruc programme implemented by the World Bank with the support of CIRAD.
