Guide technique pour une utilisation énergétique des huiles végétales de la Cedeao

03/01/2012 - Article

A real decision support tool for choosing oil crops specific to sub-Saharan regions.

The Fondation 2iE (Institut international d'ingénierie de l'eau et de l’environnement), convinced of the merits of vegetable oil as a fuel and of the potential of African oil crops, presents its knowledge of the different African oil crops available for fuel production. The aim of the guide is to identify and describe those oil crops of economic and social importance for the ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) countries and local populations.

It presents the technologies required to convert the plant into vegetable oil to ensure better use and promotion. In this respect, it is a real decision support tool for any business people or investors looking to choose crops specific to sub-Saharan regions.
