Agro2010: Meeting at the summit for world agriculture

VIDEO – A wind of optimism blew on Agro2010, the first international agronomy week, organised by ESA (the European agronomy society). Ecological intensification, one of CIRAD’s five strategic themes, was centre stage. After 5 days of discussion between 550 researchers from 52 different countries, one thing is certain: solutions do exist for overcoming the challenges facing agriculture. Research in agronomy will play a crucial role to ensure that they reach farmers’ fields.
