An art book illustrating the botanical wealth of the world's southernmost region.
The bilingual book (Spanish-English) Plantas de Patagonia
gives a comprehensive, attractive picture of the flora of Argentinian and Chilean Patagonia. It describes 95 plant families representative of the zone, comprising 400 species. It has 500 colour photographs and 80 illustrations, and is intended for a wide readership.
Plantas de Patagonia
is the result of more than fifteen years' collaboration through a series of research projects headed by Daniel Barthélémy at the Universidad nacional del Comahue's Centro regional universitario bariloche in southern Argentina.
