Disability

"To ensure that disability is not an obstacle to anyone's social life or career, CIRAD has opted to step up its policy of employing disabled people and keeping them in employment. Civil-minded organizations such as ours also have a duty to commit to ensuring equal opportunities, regardless of a person's disability. Diversity is an integral part of our mandate and mission ".

Gérard Matheron, CIRAD President Managing Director

On 1 October 2009, CIRAD made a formal commitment to address the disability issue by signing an agreement with its social partners covering employment and employment retention for disabled people.

As a result, every career at CIRAD is open to any candidate, the only criteria being qualifications, motivation and enthusiasm.

Support is a central principle in all CIRAD's operations, in this case to enable each and every staff member to build his or her skills and knowledge.

Under its education and training mandate, every year, CIRAD receives students, paid PhD students, other PhD students, and people on apprenticeship contracts.

CIRAD works with Cap Emploi, the Association pour faciliter l'insertion professionnelle des jeunes diplômés (AFIJ), and Manpower.

To apply for a job or a training course at CIRAD, follow the procedure set out in the following pages: Vacancies and Courses .
