Blue tongue reference serum
A serum used as a control in serological diagnosis of the disease.
The reference serum is made from serum taken from a goat vaccinated twice against the disease.
Features
- Filtered serum, packed in 1-ml Eppendorf tubes, frozen at -20°C.
- Storage temperature: -20°C.
- Expiry date: for information, the serum can be used for at least 10 years, provided it is stored in small quantities, under the appropriate conditions, and the titre is checked regularly.
- Titre: positive to a dilution of 1:4, positive, dubious or negative below that.

The blue tongue reference serum prepared in 2003 (batch number: SPPR-BT 2003-01) is distributed by CIRAD.
