Upstream of the cotton industry, the H2SD is used to help establish stickiness monitoring strategies for producer regions, and to separate sticky and non-sticky bales. Downstream, spinners can use it to manage supplies more efficiently and to mix cottons so as to reduce spinning problems caused by stickiness.
